British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Hospital in Lagos Following Fatal Car Crash

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been released from care, Nigerian authorities stated on Wednesday evening. The 36-year-old was involved in a car accident near Lagos on Monday, a horrific crash that resulted in the deaths of two of his close associates.

Healing from Light Wounds

The boxer had been under observation while recuperating from non-critical injuries, his promoter stated earlier on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed in an update on social media that Joshua was declared medically stable to “recuperate at home”.

“Anthony and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two friends who passed away as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the commissioner stated.

Remembering the Victims

The two men who died were named as Latif Ayodele, Joshua's trainer, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. It was also noted that the champion was filled with sorrow and full of emotions over the loss of his two trusted companions.”
